About The Tablet PAN D

👉(What is Crocin 650 Tablet used for? )

What is PAN D capsule used for?

PAN D relieves symptoms of acidity like heartburn, stomach pain, difficulty swallowing, and vomiting. It also relieves the feeling of fullness, bloating and gas in the stomach, after a heavy meal. It is used to treat stomach ulcers, which are small painful sores on the stomach wall. It is also used to treat reflux disease, which occurs when stomach acid flows back into the food pipe.

How should I take PAN D capsule?

Take PAN D around an hour before a meal, preferably in the morning. Take it orally (by mouth) and swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not cut, chew, or crush the tablet or it may not provide desired results. Small lifestyle changes, such as eating less spicy foods, eating smaller and low fat meals, and losing weight, can help improve your symptoms while taking it. Take the dose as prescribed by your doctor. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

How does PAN D capsule work?

PAN D starts working within a few hours. It contains two medicines, domperidone and pantoprazole. Domperidone is an antiemetic which promotes stomach muscle movement and enables faster emptying of the stomach, letting food move more quickly. This prevents vomiting, and reduces feelings of stomach fullness, bloating and sickness. Pantoprazole is a proton-pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by blocking stomach cells that produce acid, reducing symptoms of heartburn and acidity.

I missed a dose. What should I do?

If you forget to take a dose of PAN D capsule, take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is coming up in a few hours, skip the missed dose and continue with the next dose at the same time. Do not take a double dose to make up for it.

I have taken too much. What should I do?

If you have taken more than your prescribed dose you may experience severe side effects. Call your doctor immediately.

What are the benefits of PAN D capsule?

PAN D reduces the amount of acid produced by your stomach and relieves heartburn and symptoms of acid reflux. It treats gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which occurs when the upper stomach muscles relax too much, allowing stomach contents to enter the food pipe.

PAN D promotes faster emptying of the stomach and prevents symptoms like fullness, bloating, and vomiting. In the treatment of peptic ulcer disease where ulcers form on the stomach and intestinal wall, PAN D capsule decreases the quantity of acid produced by the stomach, which reduces further harm to the stomach wall.

What are the side effects of PAN D capsule?

Diarrhea, gas, dry mouth, headache and nausea are common side effects of PAN D. These are mild in nature and go away once the medicine is stopped. Rest, drink plenty of water and limit alcohol to control these common side effects. You can chew sugar free gum to relieve dry mouth. Joint pain, anxiety, dizziness, constipation, and fatigue are less common. Rarely, uncontrolled muscle movements, an irregular heartbeat, breast enlargement in men and increased breast milk production in men and women may be seen with PAN D. Some people may be allergic to the drugs in the capsule. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to pantoprazole or domperidone or experience breathing difficulties, itchy skin or rashes on your body, and swelling of the throat and face.

What are the precautions that I should take while on PAN D Capsule?

If you have had an allergy to pantoprazole or domperidone do not take PAN D. If you have liver disease, kidney disease, bone disease such as osteoporosis, or stomach conditions like gastritis or a stomach tumor inform your doctor before starting PAN D. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your doctor to see if you can take it safely. Children under the age of 12 should not be given PAN D.

Which are the substances I should avoid with PAN D?

Do not take PAN D capsule if you are on other medicines such as antifungals like ketoconazole and itraconazole, cancer drugs, blood thinners like warfarin, anti-TB drugs like rifampicin and antiretroviral drugs for HIV like ritonavir, saquinavir, diuretics (water drugs), drugs for epilepsy, malaria or heart diseases. Also avoid it if you are on antibiotics like erythromycin, ciprofloxacin, drugs for depression or allergy. It is better to limit alcohol intake as it could worsen side effects. Do not drive after taking it if you experience dizziness or vision disturbances. Let your doctor know if you are on any other medicines including vitamin and herbal supplements.

When should I consult my doctor after starting PAN D?

Your doctor will prescribe PAN D capsule for a set period of time, after which your symptoms should improve and you should start feeling better. After completing the course, your doctor may ask you for a follow-up visit to ensure that your condition has improved. If you do not notice any improvement after the course has finished, or if you experience severe side effects, consult your doctor right away.
