What is Acceclowoc SP Tablet used for?

Acceclowoc SP is used for relieving pain and swelling in the body. It can be used to treat headache, lower back pain, migraine, and menstrual pain. It is used to treat bone diseases where the joints become stiff, swollen and painful such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It can be given to relieve pain and swelling after surgeries like tooth extraction and C-section.


How should I take Acceclowoc SP Tablet?

Acceclowoc SP should be taken orally as prescribed by your doctor and swallowed whole with water. Do not crush, cut, or chew the tablet. Take the tablet preferably with or after meals. Your doctor will prescribe the lowest dose for the shortest time possible to minimize the risk of side effects. Always complete the course and do not stop suddenly.


How does Acceclowoc SP tablet work?

Acceclowoc SP tablet contains 3 drugs, aceclofenac, paracetamol and serratiopeptidase. Aceclofenac and paracetamol are pain killers (analgesics) and fever reducers (antipyretics) and belong to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). They work by blocking the action of chemicals responsible for pain, fever and inflammation. Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme which reduces swelling and redness in areas of tissue injury. Zerdol SP starts working in 30 minutes to an hour.


I missed a dose. What should I do?

If you miss a dose of Acceclowoc SP, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the dose and continue the next dose at the same time. Do not take 2 doses to make up for the previous one.


I have taken too much. What should I do?

If you have taken more than your prescribed dose you may experience severe side effects, call your doctor immediately.

It is helpful in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis, a long-term condition in which the spine becomes inflamed. It is used in several arthritic conditions where the joints become painful, swollen and stiff such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It can be used to relieve pain and swelling after surgeries like c-sections and dental surgery.


What are the side effects of Acceclowoc SP?

Nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, indigestion, and dizziness are common side effects of Zerodol P. Eat light, non-spicy, & low-fat meals, at regular intervals and drink enough water. If you feel weak, do not drive and avoid handling heavy tools or machines. If the side effects do not subside, consult your doctor. Rarely, some people may get an allergy to the medicines and experience swelling of the face, mouth, throat, difficulty in breathing, severe itchy skin and rashes. Anemia, fatigue, swelling, internal bleeding and depression are also seen occasionally with it.


What are the precautions that I should take while on Acceclowoc SP?

Acceclowoc SP is not for you if you have a history of bronchial asthma, stomach ulcers or bleeding disorders. If you have an allergy to paracetamol, aceclofenac or another drug from the NSAID class, do not take it. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience swelling of the face, mouth and throat, difficulty in breathing and skin rashes or itching. This could signal an allergy to the medicine. People with heart conditions and liver and kidney disease should not take Acceclowoc SP tablets. Do not take more than the prescribed dose of Zerodol P or you may risk serious damage to your liver. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your doctor to see if you can take it safely. As it can cause dizziness, avoid driving and operating heavy machines if you are on it. Acceclowoc SP is not to be given for children below 6 years of age.


What are the substances that I should avoid with Acceclowoc SP Tablet?

Do not take Acceclowoc SP tablet if you are on other painkillers such as ibuprofen and aspirin, cancer drugs, blood thinners like warfarin, diuretics (water drugs), drugs for diabetes, blood pressure or heart diseases. Also avoid it if you are on antibiotics like ciprofloxacin. If you had an abortion recently wait for at least 8-12 days before taking Acceclowoc SP; it is best to get medical advice before taking it. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Acceclowoc SP tablets as it may cause excessive drowsiness, increase the risk of liver damage and stomach bleeding. Do not drive after taking it if you experience dizziness or vision disturbances.


When should I consult my doctor after starting Acceclowoc SP Tablet?
